Zendaya Coleman is now an official high school graduate.
The Disney actress shared a heartfelt message about the importance of education with her Instagram followers after walking across the stage Thursday. Celebrity pals like Taylor Swift also chimed in on their excitement for her.
"Please remember knowledge is one of the most powerful gifts we have the privilege of receiving...don't take that for granted," Coleman, 18, wrote alongside a pic of her dressed head-to-toe in a mustard-colored gown.
"It's a long road, so many things will pose as obstacles in your way and at times the end seems further and further away, but please remember the importance of that beautiful mind you have and all the limitless powers you hold," she said.
Coleman's "Bad Blood" buddy Taylor Swift also showed her support on Instagram when she shared a candid shot of the young graduate in line with her classmates. "Cut Throat graduates, I cry endless tears of pride," Swift wrote. The 1989 artist also took to Twitter to share her feelings about the ceremony, writing, "I'M NOT CRYING, YOU ARE."
But Coleman wasn't the only star in attendance at the Oak Park High School ceremony. Olympic gold medalist Gabrielle Douglas also walked the stage in her cap and gown. Her mother, Natalie Hawkins, told ABC 7 news that Douglas had to balance homework and training while winning the gold medal in the London. Hawkins said it was "crazy," but her daughter is already training for the next Olympics.
Another star in attendance was the keynote speaker, actor Bob Newhart, who encouraged the young graduates to hold on to their aspirations. "Keep your sense of humor. Follow your dream. I did and I've been lucky," the Elf actor said.
