At least six people were killed in two separate attacks in Pakistan targeting police, officials said Friday.
A group of armed militants overran a security checkpost in south-western Balochistan province shortly before midnight on Thursday, killing four police officers, provincial Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti said.
Hours later a bus carrying police officers to a training academy in southern Karachi city was hit by a bomb planted on a motorbike parked on the roadside, killing two passers-by, police official Rao Anwar said.
At least 12 men including police officers were injured in the bombing, said doctor Seemi Jamali at Jinnah Hospital, where they were being treated.
