At least 13 suspected militants were killed in fresh air strikes on Wednesday, carried out by Pakistan military during the ongoing operation in North Waziristan tribal region of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan, said military.
A statement issued by public relations department of Pakistan military, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that 13 terrorists were killed and five militants' hideouts were destroyed in fresh strikes carried out by army jet fighters on Wednesday. The statement added that 12 suspected militants surrendered to security forces in North Waziristan.
North Waziristan is one of the seven semi-autonomous tribal agencies of Pakistan governed by tribal laws and facing militants' insurgency against the state for the last seven years.
