At least three Khasadar security personnel and four militants were killed during a clash on Thursday morning when militants attacked a security check post in Khyber tribal region of northern Pakistan bordering Afghanistan, said military.
The public relations wing of Pakistan military, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the death of three khasadars while eight were also injured in the exchange of fire that took place at the Sur Qamar area of Jamrud district.
According to officials, the attack took place at the Hawaldari Chowki on the Pakistan-Afghanistan highway near Sor Kamar area that ended leaving four militants dead.
The militants also attacked the reinforcement party of the paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) sent to support security forces injuring their two personnel.
