A driver of NATO supply truck was shot dead by unknown militants on Thursday near the Jamrud area of Khyber agency tribal area of northern Pakistan bordering Afghanistan. According to local officials, two gunmen riding a motorbike fired at a NATO truck and killed its driver. Local security officials have confirmed the killing of the driver but no group has yet claimed the responsibility. The truck was carrying NATO supplies, as Pakistan is the key route for the NATO mission in landlocked Afghanistan. It is then driven to the border from the Arabian Sea port of Karachi. The suspected militants have hit NATO supplies several times earlier as they facilitate the NATO troops who have been fighting in Afghanistan.
