At least 29 Taliban militants were killed following militaryoperations conducted by Afghan national army (ANA) soldiers in eastern Ghazniprovince.A spokesman for the Afghan National Army Thunder Corps, Nazifullah Sultani saidthe militants were killed during the operations in the past 24 hours, reportedKhaarma Press on Thursday.Sultani further added that 35 militants were also injured during the operationswhich were conducted in Gilan district. He said the operations were launched inGilan district around a week ago to clear the area from the militants activitiesAccording to Sultani, at least 14 Pakistani Taliban militants were also among thosekilled during the operations.The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding thereport so far.Ghazni is among the volatile provinces in eastern Afghanistan where anti-government armed militant groups are actively operating in its various districtsincluding Gilan.
