At least 18 people were injured, including three MPs, in a suicide attack against the Libyan parliament building in the eastern city of Tubruq on Tuesday, medical sources and MPs said.
MP Essa Araibi, in a statement to KUNA, said a suicide attacker was driving a booby-trapped SUV attacked the parliament building in Dar Al-Salam Hotel in Tubruq.
"Three MPs were injured in the attacks," said Araibi and identified them as Nasser ben Nafe, Mohammad Al-Waer and Abdulmutalleb ben Thabet
A source in Tubruq medical center told KUNA that 18 people were wounded including the three lawmakers.
He added that all injured were discharged from the medical center.
Meanwhile, MP Tareq Jaroushi said the suicide attack stormed into the back doors of the parliament.
