Egypt has expressed concern over the growing violence in Libya which pose a threat to citizens in the capital, Tripoli.
The Foreign Ministry advised on Tuesday in a statement the Egyptians against all but essential travel to Libya under the current circumstances and state of insecurity.
It has also called on all the Egyptians now in Libya to be on maximum alert.
On 13 July 2014, Tripoli International Airport was closed following clashes that broke out between armed groups in the area surrounding the airport.
The statement included telephone numbers of the foreign ministry in Cairo: 25772500, 257772500 and fax no. 25761000.
The Egyptian consulate in Benghazi phone no. is 00218927392009 and the embassy in Tripoli is 0111503200.
