Former Libyan labor minister Mohammad Salem was killed during fierce clashes with Daesh militants in Misrata and Sirte.
A statement released on Sunday by the media office of "Al Bunyan Al Marsous" military operation said the minister was killed during clashes with Daesh militants in eastern Misrata.
The statement said the minister was one of the revolutionary leaders of Misrata city, a former member of its municipal council and one of the elders of Misrata Council. He was also a member of the interim Libyan government in 2012-2014.
