Iraq's Ministry of Displacement and Migration announced Saturday that at least 17,000 refugees have returned to their home in Nineveh governorate.
Minister of Immigration and Displacement Jassim Mohammed said the office of the ministry in al Hamdaniya district received 17,000 displaced Iraqis.
Though the number of the refugees is still limited, the ministry is offering incentives to boost the number of returnees.
