Six-hundred-fifty Daesh militants were killed during the liberation of Hit, documents found by Iraqi forces in a search operation of hideouts belonging to the terrorist group revealed.
Assisted by the Iraqi counter-terrorism forces, the civil defense department resumed work Tuesday in the newly-liberated Hīt city.
According to documents in Hīt belonging to Daesh terrorist group and found by Iraqi forces, 650 Daesh militants were killed in the liberation process, most of whom are Arab and foreign nationals.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Joint Operations Command denied the participation of Turkish forces in the ongoing liberation process of Nineveh Province.
In a press statement Tuesday, spokesman for the Joint Operation Command Yahya al Zubaidi said that Iraqi armed forces and Mosul residents, backed by US-led coalition forces, are set to participate in the liberation of Nineveh.
