Irbil - KUNA

Seven Iraqis were killed, among them a ranking officer, and nine others were injured in separate incidents in northern city of Mosul on Tuesday. A police source told KUNA that a suicide bomber detonated an explosive belt he was wearing inside a restaurant in Tal Abta area central Mosul, killing five policemen, among them patrol command, and injuring nine others, six of them civilians. On another front, a police source said in Tal Abta one was killed and three bodyguards were injured in another suicide attack in central Mosul. The source added a tribal leader, Nadhem Al-Bajari was killed in front of his house in Al-Noor area east of Mosul. The source noted an improvised bomb planted underneath a vehicle used by intelligence affiliate exploded at Telkeif area, killing him instantly.
