Iraqi F-16 fighter jets pounded sites of terrorist Daesh group in the governorates of Anbar, Salahuddin and Nineveh, a military media cell of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command said on Wednesday.

The air strikes, carried out upon intelligence information, led to the killing of several Daesh terrorists and the destruction of a number of their vehicles and positions stocked with mines.

Meanwhile, two Daesh militants were killed and seven others injured in clashes with Peshmerga fighters in Zummar district in Nineveh governorate in north western Iraq, a military source said.
