Iraqi warplanes have launched several airstrikes against Daesh sites and stores in Tal Afar district, west of Mosul, the Iraqi Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The air raids, carried out upon intelligence information, resulted in destroying an arms cache and a lab for making car bombs, in addition to two posts used by Daesh militants for holding meetings and running operations in the neighborhood, the statement added.
Meanwhile, an explosive charge went off close to shops in al Haswa area in Abu Ghraib district in western Baghdad, an Iraqi security source reported.
