Singer Sheikh Sidi Bemol will give a series of concerts in July, as part of an art tour in Canada, according to the artist’s website.
Sheikh Sidi Bemol, whose real name is Hocine Boukella, will give three concerts at the Sunfest yearly festival in Ontario (Canada) where he will liven up a concert on July 5th and two others on July 6th.
The artist will participate, on 12 July in Montreal (Canada), in the Festival International Nuits d’Afrique scheduled from 8 to 20 July before performing in Algiers on 23 July.
Sidi Bemol, who started his artistic career in 1992 in Paris, plays music drawn from the Algerian authentic heritage, a mix between chaabi, al Malhoune, gnawi and kabyle.
The artist, whose music deals with the daily life, sings in Tamazight, Arabic and French.
