Damascus - SANA

Units of the Armed Forces continued pursuing the armed terrorist groups in Harasta, Bastara and al-Ebb farms in al-Ghouta al-Sharqieh in Damascus countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon them. An official source told SANA reporter that the Army units pursued an armed terrorist group near Harasta water unit, killing and injuring its members. The source added that another Army unit clashed with an armed terrorist group in Bastara farms, destroying one of its dens along with the criminal tools inside it, in addition to discovering a tunnel used by the terrorists to hide and store weapons and ammunition. Meanwhile, Army unit killed and injured members of an armed terrorist group in al-Ebbfarms in al-Ghouta al-Sharqieh. Among the dead terrorists were Ramez al-Laka, Maher Haroun and Hatem Hylana. An Army unit destroyed 5 cars along with weapon and ammunition inside them in al-Ebb farms, in addition to destroying two cars equipped with heavy machineguns. Units of the Armed Forces pursued armed terrorists groups in al-Zabadani city and Rema farms in al-Nabik area in Damascus countryside, killing and injuring a number of terrorists. An official source told SANA reporter that an Army unit clashed with an armed terrorist group in the western district of al-Zabadani city and killed and injured its members.  Among the dead terrorists were Mua'tasim Bourhan and Yehya al-Khateb. Meanwhile, another Army unit pursued an armed terrorist group in Rema farms in al-Nabik area, killing a number of its members and destroying its den along with weapons and ammunition inside it. Army unit clashed with terrorists who were perpetrating acts of terrorism in Adra area, killing and injuring scores of them. Armed Forces units eliminated terrorists and injured others in Deir Jammal near the medical center, al-Mansoura near the gas station, Kafer Dael, Babiss, Khan al-Assal and Kafr Naha in Aleppo countryside. An Armed Forces unit targeted a terrorist group on the Aleppo-Damascus highway near Zeida gas station, eliminating its members and destroying their equipment. In Aleppo city, Armed Forces units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in the areas of al-Naqarin, Sheikh Saeed, Hanano housings. Other units continued their pursuit of terrorists in the Old City and in al-Sukkari, killing and injuring many of them. A military source said that units of our armed forces have foiled terrorist groups' attempts to attack a military post in Raqqa city, inflicting heavy losses among the terrorists. A convoy of cars equipped with heavy machine guns was destroyed with all weapons and ammunition inside them including an anti-aircraft gun. A number of the terrorists were killed including three leaders of these groups. A unit of the Armed Forces confiscated large amounts of weapons and ammunition, including thermal anti-tank missiles and machineguns in terrorists' dens in Joubar, al-Soultania and Kafer ay'a areas in Homs countryside. A military source told SANA that the confiscated weapons included RPG shells, thermal anti-tank missiles, tank shells, 11 automatic rifles, 2 PKC, explosive devices, detonators and ammunition. The source added that the army units continued operations against the terrorists' gatherings in Abel, al-Rastan, al-Bouida al-Sharqieh, al-Ghanto, Rabia'a and al-Haydaria, killing and injuring scores of terrorists. Meanwhile, other Army units destroyed terrorists' dens in Bourj Ka'ay, Tal Dahab along with weapons and ammunition inside them, in addition to killing most terrorists inside dens. Sadeq Muhammad al-Omar a leader of an armed terrorist group and the communication coordinator with Turkey were identified among the killed terrorists. Another Army unit inflicted heavy looses upon armed terrorist groups who were perpetrating acts of terrorism in al-Sa'an and al-Zafrania, destroying 3 cars equipped with heavy machineguns along with weapons and ammunition inside them. A unit of the Armed Forces on Sunday carried out a qualitative operation against a hideout for an armed terrorist group in al-Hiwiqa neighborhood in Deir Ezzor, killing all the terrorists in it and destroying their weapons and ammunition. An official source told SANA reporter in the province that the operation resulted in destroying 3 cars equipped with machineguns and the killing of a number of terrorists and the injury of others. The source added that another unit of the Armed Forces destroyed a terrorist hideout in the area of 7km in Deir Ezzor countryside, killing all the terrorists in it and destroying their weapons. A unit of the Armed Forces killed the leader of Jabhat al-Nusra in Hama along with most of his group members who attempted to attack Army checkpoint in Tall Melih in Mhardeh countryside. A source in the province told SANA that an Army unit eliminated most members of the armed terrorist group. Suhaib Hassan al-Najeb , who is leader of Jabhat al-Nusra in Hama, Abo Hassan al-Satouq, Samer al-Jammal, Ahmad Khadour Sulieman, Samer al-Rajab and Ahmad Hussein al-Moustafa were identified among the killed terrorists. Authorities in Homs province eliminated a leader of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group as he and other terrorists were infiltrating into Palmyra city. A source in the province told SANA reporter that the authorities clashed with an armed terrorist group trying to infiltrate into Palmyra city and eliminated terrorist Mansour bin Mufdi bin Mohammad al-Khaledi, who is not Syrian, and his fellow Hamadi al-Hindawi. An Armed Forces unit destroyed a number of terrorist gatherings and hideouts along with their weapons, ammo and equipment in several areas in Idleb countryside. A car equipped with a heavy machinegun was destroyed in the village of Tal Salmo, while terrorists were killed and injured in the towns of Bannesh and al-Nairab, the fields of Qmeinas village, and al-Ahmar farm. A number of snipers who were stationed on the road leading to the town of al-Ein in Ariha area, targeting passersby, were also eliminated. A unit of the armed forces clashed with a terrorist group in Jamleh town in Daraa countryside, killing and injuring a number of terrorists. An official source said that the terrorists Zaid Nasser Kiwan, Nabil al-Ghazali, who was leader of the so-called Fajr al-Islam Brigade, Amer Ayyoub Masalmeh, leader of the so-called al-Muthanna Bin Haritha Battalion, Hamadi Hussein al-Nakawi and Mohammad Mostapha al-Akrad al-Hariri were identified among the dead. A number of terrorists from two groups were killed and injured after a fight broke out between them over items stolen from locals and facilities on the road between Daraa city and Khirbet Ghazale. The clash between the terrorists lasted for over two hours and involved machineguns and offensive grenades. Among the terrorists killed in it was Khalil Mohammad al-Haj Ali.
