The army killed a number of terrorists in al-Mleiha neighborhood and destroyed their weapons and ammunition. Among the dead terrorists were Abdullah Hamad from Somalia and Ammar Bin Jouhar from Algeria. Army units also killed 21 terrorists of the so-called "Islam Brigade" in Adra al-Balad and destroyed their equipment, while other army units killed 25 terrorists in Aliyeh farms in Duma city. The Syrian armed forces also stormed terrorists' dens and gatherings in al-Zabadani city, Khan al-Sheeh and its farms, inflicting heavy losses upon them. Syria has been gripped with deadly unrest since 2011, when foreign-backed terrorists hijacked the sporadic peaceful protests of Syrian nation.
