The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at least five civilians were killed and 80 others injured in airstrikes on districts in Aleppo city.
The observatory added that hundreds of mortar shells fell in Aleppo city, inflicting heavy material damage.
Meanwhile, the BBC quoted the observatory as saying that the Syrian Democratic Forces, backed by the international coalition, made progress in their fighting against Daesh militants in Manbij city in northeastern Aleppo.
