Representatives of some 150,000 workers at the Egyptian railways have voiced support for the re-election of Abdel Fattah el Sisi as president of Egypt for a second term.

The workers will continue to support the Egyptian leadership in efforts to build the Egyptian state and achieve progress and economic growth, the representatives said during a regular general assembly of the union of railway workers Tuesday.

Attending the meeting was Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan, who assured the workers that the coming period would be better.

He urged all workers to exert utmost efforts to help achieve growth.
