397 artillery shells, 156 mortars found in Mosul

Iraqi Defense Ministry said Sunday that 397 artillery shells and 156 mortars were found in the forests region in northern Mosul.

The Iraqi army forces carried out a number of proactive operations where destroyed cannons in the forests region were found along with a rocket launcher, 397 artillery shells and 156 mortars, the Iraqi Media News Agency quoted the ministry's statement as saying.

Up to 100 devices were dismantled as part of the Samraa Operations Command, while three shells of the leftover of Daesh terrorist group were also found in one of the gardens.
