At least 35 inmates have died in a prison riot in Venezuela's southern state of Amazonas, the region's governor said on Wednesday.
Governor Liborio Guarulla tweeted that the "massacre" occurred in the penitentiary in the town of Puerto Ayacucho. "More than 35 corpses" were found by a special interior ministry team that went inside, he wrote.
