An attack on Save the Children's office in Afghanistan's restive east has ended, an official said Wednesday, with at least one person killed and 14 others wounded.

"The fighting has ended. The security forces are clearing the building now. Our initial information shows so far that one dead and 14 wounded have been taken to hospitals," Nangarhar governor spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told AFP.
