Britain's bill to leave the European Union will be "very hefty," EU chief Jean-Claude Juncker warned Tuesday as London prepares to trigger exit proceedings.

"The British are expected to respect the commitments they made. And so, the bill will, to say it a bit coarsely, will be very hefty," Juncker said in Brussels.
