Nine people including children were killed in an air strike Friday in a residential neighbourhood of Yemen's capital Sanaa, witnesses said.

The strike destroyed two buildings, they said.

Mohammed Ahmad, who lived in one of the buildings in the southern neighbourhood of Faj Attan, said he was among residents who had taken nine bodies to a hospital.
