Chairman of the Consortium of Independent Palestinians (CIP) Mounib El Masri has unveiled an economic and political Chinese initiative to reconstruct the Gaza Strip.

In a press conference held on Sunday at the Press House in Gaza, El Masry asserted that he suggested establishing a public company entitled “ Gaza company for development” to contribute to the reconstruction process.

With regard to the Chinese initiative, he stressed that the initiative will not be endorsed until the Palestinian division ends.

The proposed initiative covers mega projects, including the establishment of water desalination plants, infrastructure services and industrial and agricultural zones, he noted.
