The Spanish authorities announced Friday that the death toll of Barcelona ramming attack rose to 14, while more than 100 others were wounded, the BBC reported.
Canadian national Francesco Lopez Rodriguez, aged 60, was the first identified victim of the attack.
Rodriguez's wife was injured in the attack as well, while her son was among the casualties.
The Spanish authorities arrested 51 terrorists in 2017, 69 in 2016 and 75 others in 2015, as part of their efforts to combat terrorism.
