Iran's state broadcaster said Monday that six people had been killed in the small western town of Tuyserkan, bringing the total death toll from overnight unrest to 10.

"In this incident (in Tuyserkan), there were shots fired in which three people died and three other people were killed in subsequent events," a newsreader on state television said, without giving further details.
