Egypt condemns in the strongest possible terms the attack that hit Barcelona's famous Las Ramblas tourist area and claimed lives of a number of innocent people.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry offered condolences to the families of the victims of the attack that happened when a van ploughed into crowds in Barcelona killing up to 13 people.
