Egypt strongly denounced a ballistic missile attack against the Saudi city of Riyadh that was launched from the Yemeni soil before being intercepted 25 km southern the city.

In a released statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry underlined Egypt's support for the Saudi people and government in the face of attempts to undermine the kingdom's security and stability.

Egypt asserted the necessity to immediately fight any attempt targeting the Saudi lands and bringing those involved to account.
