Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Wednesday he expected to host his German counterpart Sigmar Gabriel "as soon as possible," as the NATO allies struggle to end a bad-tempered row.

"We will meet again as soon as possible," said Cavusoglu, speaking at a tourism fair in Berlin after he had met Gabriel. "We will host my friend Sigmar Gabriel in Turkey."
