Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on March 23, Athens announced Monday, as efforts mounted to reduce tensions between Greece and its eurozone partners.
Merkel talked with Tsipras by telephone on Monday and issued the invitation, which was accepted, the Greek government said in a statement. It will be Tsipras' first visit to the German capital since he took power.
