Israel fired three artillery shells on Abu Safiya area east of al Maghazi, in central Gaza Strip.

A patrol affiliated to the Israeli army was shot on Wednesday when it was passing near the eastern borders of the enclave, according to eyewitnesses.

They added that the occupation army opened fire on a number of Palestinians who were attempting to reconstruct a resistance point.

The point was exposed to artillery shelling last week, with no injuries reported.
