Kuala Lumpur - Arab Today
Malaysia has freed a North Korean suspect in the assassination of the half-brother of leader Kim Jong-Un, the attorney general said Thursday, a day after two women were charged with his murder.
Ri Jong Chol was held in police detention for almost two weeks following the assassination of Kim Jong-Nam at Kuala Lumpur on February 13.
"He will be released. He is a free man. His remand expires and there is insufficient evidence to charge him," said Mohamed Apandi Ali. "He will be deported tomorrow."
