Pakistani Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Wednesday said that the US's recognition of Al Quds as the capital of Israel undermines its role as a fair mediator in the Middle East peace process.

At a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation here, he added that the US decision violates international legitimacy.

Pakistan had denounced the decision that was announced by US President Donald Trump and expressed its concerns over its repercussions on international peace and security.
