The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned Israel's provocative settlement policy in view of the Israeli government's organization of a ceremony in Gush Etzion settlement on the 50th anniversary of Israel's invasion of the West Bank.

In a statement on Wednesday wired by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the ministry said event coincides with a visit by US Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt to the region.

The ministry balked at the international community's failure to shoulder its responsibility toward the Palestinians.
