Police captain Mohamed el Hayes, who was abducted by terrorists implicated in Wahat attack earlier this month, was freed by security apparatuses.

In statements to MENA Tuesday, the security source said that the Giza security directorate police officer was admitted to Agouza Police Hospital.

On October 21, the Ministry of Interior announced that 16 policemen died during Wahat attack that took place on Kilo 135 in Western Desert on October 20.

Fifteen militants were killed during a military operation launched to hunt down the terrorists, the ministry added.
