A representative of Khmeimim Air Base denied on Thursday the abduction of Russian servicemen by gunmen in Syria.

No Russian serviceman is missing or being captured by militants in Deir Ezzor governorate or in any other part in the unrest-hit country, Sputnik news agency reported.

All Russian military men in Syria are alive, he said.
