Hundreds of trucks are still waiting on the Palestinian side.

Israeli settlers Wednesday prevented the entry of truckloads of goods and fuel into the besieged Gaza Strip via Karm Abu Salem, Gaza’s commercial border crossing with Israel.

WAFA correspondent reported trucks owners saying that settlers blocked the roads leading to the border crossing, preventing access of trucks loaded with merchandise, food items, fuel, cooking gas and construction materials destined to the besieged coastal enclave.

Hundreds of trucks are still waiting on the Palestinian side of the border crossing awaiting the unloading of the goods coming from the Israeli side.

Karm Abu Salem is the only commercial border crossing of Gaza allocated to the entry of badly needed humanitarian items such as food, fuel, gas and cement to the densely populated coastal enclave. Its closure means further exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis resulting from Israel's 12-year-long blockade of Gaza.
