The Supreme Security State Prosecution has started a probe into a concert organized last week by a number of homosexuals in New Cairo.

The investigation comes upon directives from Prosecutor General Nabil Sadek.

The concert stirred a wave of criticism on social media after a group of fans raised the rainbow flag, a symbol of LGBT pride.
