The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) lost 4.5 billion pounds at the close of Tuesday's trading.
The market capital reached EGP 798.2 billion, after transactions hit EGP 1.2 billion.
The EGX 30 benchmark index went back by 0.76 percent to close at 14,460.96 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) retreated 0.79 percent to 780.98 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index went down by 0.64 percent to close at 1,830.09 points.
