Tourism expert Mohamed Gharib was appointed on Wednesday as the new chairman of the Arab Federation of Tour Guides (AFTG) for a two-year term.

The decision was made by the general assembly of the federation during their general congress, currently in session here.

Gharib expounded during the conference accomplishments realized by the federation since it was established in 2004, including the training courses it organized for tour guides.
