Casey Affleck won the best drama actor Golden Globe on Sunday for his unflinching performance of a man scarred by tragedy in "Manchester by the Sea."

Affleck bested Joel Edgerton ("Loving"), Andrew Garfield ("Hacksaw Bridge"), Viggo Mortensen ("Captain Fantastic") and Denzel Washington ("Fences").
