Authorities in Egypt have shut down seven pages on social media for inciting acts of terror.

The move came as part of efforts exerted by the security department for fighting crimes, especially those related to information technology .

Also, security efforts resulted in uncovering 60 crimes related to fraud and cheating via the internet.
