A new Airbus A320 aircraft landed here last night to join the Saudi Arabian Airlines' fleet, which is currently undergoing the largest modernization and revamping program, in the company's history, according to the transformation program implemented to achieve its strategic goals, aiming at increasing the total number of working aircraft to 200 modern aircraft, by the end of 2020.
Saudi Airlines is expected to receive three more aircraft of the same model, in September and October, to complete receiving of 30 aircraft of this type, with co-signing of acquisition agreement, that has taken place, in the summer of 2015.
Another agreement was co-signed, in 2016, for the acquisition of 63 new aircraft, with the start of receiving them from the next Year 2019.
The arrival of the new aircraft support the operational plans for increasing flights and seat capacity on the domestic flights network, expanding the operation of the international sector by reaching new destinations, improving operational efficiency and product development, in addition to putting at avail new capabilities to the company, as well as providing it with the highest levels of comfort and safety.
