Heatwave

Relatively hot conditions are expected on Sunday in the hilly areas as temperatures hover around their annual average, reaching a high of 34 degrees in Amman and hitting 42 degrees in the Gulf of Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

It added that mercury levels will cool down at night reaching 21 degrees in the capital and dropping to 29 in Aqaba.

The Kingdom will be affected again by a hot and dry air mass over the next two days, becoming 4-5 degrees above seasonal average and bringing hot conditions in the hilly areas and the Badia regions, while it will be very hot in Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, the JMD added.
