London - Egypt Today
The last week has been all about Meghan Markle, the soon-to-be royal has not only captured the heart of Prince Harry but of fashion pundits too. For her first official walkabout with her Prince, in Nottingham, she wore a navy blue cashmere blend trench coat by Canadian label Mackage.
Meghan has worn this coat before - and there is nothing more chic than repeating. Any true fashion girl has the confidence to recycle her outfits. Paired with a black sweater and black suede boots, black and navy is a style combination that always works, its subtle, elegant yet out of the box. And the former Suits actor finished her ensemble by carrying a handbag. The burgundy bag came from Scottish designer Strathberry, ensuring she gave a nod to British fashion.
Meghan is obviously comfortable with her style. In fact since Megan is marrying "the spare" and not "the heir", she can afford to have more fun with fashion than the Duchess of Cambridge. And it was interesting to note that she chose not to wear gloves - many royals prefer to keep their hands covered because of all the handshaking they need to do. Meghan looks set to be England's new princess of style - and let's see if she manages to steal that crown from the current wearer, the Duchess of Cambridge
