Jewellery brand Eddie Borgo has announced the launch of its first luxury handbag collection. Drawing inspiration from the minimal yet futuristic automotive stylings of 1950s and 1960s chrome culture, the collection offers a modernised interpretation of the shapes and constructions of traditional pocketbook and attaché silhouettes.

The minimal and functional handbags combine the finest italian leatherwork with Eddie Borgo’s innovative design. Crafted by artisans in italy, the styles feature leather in fine box calf with rubber coated or latex finishes, and custom rigid aluminum hardware.

Shown in four refined colors inspired by automobile paint from the 50s and 60s including Jet, Evergreen, Frost and Blush, each handbag includes notable geometric hardware plated in blonde, chrome or oil along with a digital moiré jacquard interior lining.

Trademark sculptural elements such as custom metal slats, arc handles and accordion gussets hallmark the collection.
