The annual “Seawatching” (Snorkeling) courses organized by the National Park of Cinque Terre will run again this year, and are open to both adults and children from 9 to 13 years of age. Students will need a mask, mouthpiece and flippers, but Park personnel and instructors take care of the rest, supplying wetsuits (for the summer season), manuals for species identification, underwater guides, and motorized raft excursions for those in the Junior category. Under the guidance of expert scuba divers and naturalists, the younger students can explore seabeds of Cinque Terre’s Marine Protected Area. Adults can take courses in August, that will take place over a period of three weekends; these will allow for the participation in seabed monitoring and other interesting scientific activities. The complete calendar foresees junior courses for children ages 9-13 (July 24-26 at Riomaggiore, August 1-3 at Manarola, August 7-9 at Levanto, August 13-15 at Riomaggiore, August 21-23 at Vernazza and August 28-30 at Monterosso). Adult courses will run August 4-5, 11-12 and 25-26 at Riomaggiore. From / ITALIA website
