Head of the Arab Contractors Company Mohsen Salah unveiled on Monday the start of extending the first water pipeline to the new Administrative Capital project in order to start necessary constructions.
The 18.5-km-long pipeline will cost 285 million pounds, he said.
The project, carried out by the Arab Contractors Company, will link the new capital with 10th of Ramadan water station.
The water pipeline project will be carried out over two stages, he added.
Egypt's new Administrative Capital is a large-scale project announced by Egyptian Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouly at the Egypt Economic Development Conference on 13 March 2015.
The city is to be located 45 kilometers east of Cairo and would become the new administrative and financial capital of Egypt, housing the main government departments and ministries, as well as foreign embassies.
