Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker held a meeting Monday with a delegation representing UL consulting company to discuss means to promote cooperation between the two sides in the fields of renewable energy and fire extinguisher systems.

During the meeting, Shaker stressed that Egypt has taken several initiatives in the past few years to develop the energy sector and open up the market for private sector investments.

UL's delegation lauded the ministry's accomplishments in developing Egypt's energy sector, highlighting Egypt's enormous potential which qualifies it to become a regional energy hub.
